Trip to Yorkshire Dales -- 1992
At the end of the summer of 1994, after my first year at the Atlantic College, I went for a week long lonely trip through the Yorkshire Dales in north England. It was my first independant trip in Britain. I didn't do anything terribly exciting -- when I tried to hike up one of the highest mountains (or hills by some people's standards), I had to turn back half way because the fog reduced visibility to just a few meters. I did walk, however, through a number of really beautiful places and charming villages. I stayed in youth hostels and I spent several evenings in local pubs. Once people realized that I was traveling alone and by foot, they invariably became very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
I took very few pictures during that trip. Some of them are available below. To see a larger version of any of the pictures, just click on it.
